About This Dish

Miyan Tsamiya is a light northern soup known for its slightly sour taste. It is commonly eaten with tuwo and enjoyed for its refreshing flavour.

Ingredient

  •  Tamarind (tsamiya) pulp
  • Beef
  • Dried fish
  • Palm oil
  • Onion
  • Ground pepper
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Mom’s Pride Kayan Miya
  •  1 tsp baking powder
  •  – Mom’s Pride spice and Cook-in-Sauce Tomato Bredie
  •  – ½ onion, sliced
  •  – ½ cup grated cheese
  •  – A handful parsley, chopped

How to Make It

Boil beef with onion until soft. Add dried fish, soak and strain the tamarind, then add the liquid to the pot, add palm oil, season with Mom’s Pride Kayan Miya pepper and salt, simmer until flavours balance, and serve hot.
